Char Dham Yatra

Day 1

DRIVE TO RISHIKESH (230 km 6hours approx drive)

Arrive Delhi. Bord coach and proceed for Rishikesh. Transfer to hotel, check in freshen up. Relax, in the evening time to visit the famous Ghats (holy bathing area), Ram Jhula Ashrams (refuge for pilgrims) and attend the Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan. Dinner and overnight stay in Rishkesh. RISHIKESH It is situated on the right bank of the Ganges River and is a pilgrimage town for Hindus, with ancient sages and saints meditating here in search of higher knowledge. There are numerous temples and ashrams built along the banks of the river.It is known as the "Gateway to the Garhwal Himalayas" and "Yoga Capital of the World".

Day 2

RISHIKESH–BARKOT (180 km 6 hours approx drive)

After breakfast proceed to Yamunotri. In the evening arrive Barkot. Transfer to hotel, check in freshen up. Relax, in the evening time at leisure, Dinner and overnight stay. Yamunotri : is the source of the Yamuna River and the seat of the Goddess Yamuna in Hinduism. It is situated at an altitude of 3,293 metres (10,804 ft) in the Garhwal Himalayas . It is one of the four sites in India's Chhota Char Dham pilgrimage. The sacred shrine of Yamunotri, source of the river Yamuna, is the westernmost shrine in the Garhwal Himalayas, perched atop a flank of Bandar Poonch Parvat. The chief attraction at Yamunotri is the temple devoted to the Goddess Yamuna and the holy thermal springs at Janki Chatti

Day 3

BARKOT -YAMUNOTRI (50 km drive & 10km approx up & down trek)

After early breakfast, board coach/cab and proceed for Janki Chatti. Arrive Janki Chatti, thereafter get ready start trek to Yamunotri. Arrive Yamunotri temple for Pooja & Darshan. Thereafter down trek to Janki Chatti bord coach and proceed for Barkot. Arrive Barkot, transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel at Barkot.

Day 4

BARKOT-UTTARKASHI (90 km 3 hours drive approx)

After breakfast pack up your luggage and proceed to Uttarkashi. Arrive Uttarkashi, transfer to hotel, check in freshen up. Evening visit Vishwanath Temple for Pooja and Darshan. Evening time at leisure in the local market. Dinner & overnight stay at Uttarkashi. Uttarkashi- Meaning Kashi of the north, is a holy town in Uttarakhand, India. Uttarkashi is situated on the banks of river Bhagirathi at an altitude of 1352 m above sea level. Sri Kashi Vishwanath temple:- is one of the oldest and most sacred temples in Uttarkashi. There is also a Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi. The temple is situated on bank of river Bhagirathi. Bhagirathi is one of the three main rivers which flows down as holy river Ganges. The other two are Mandakini and Alaknanda.

Day 5

UTTARKASHI –HARSIL- GANGOTRI - (95 km approx drive)

Early morning with packed board coach & proceed to Gangotri. En route visit Gangnani (hot water spring). Thereafter journey continue, Arrive Gangotri, visit Gangotri temple for Pooja & Darshan. Thereafter return back to Uttarkashi. Enjoy the scenic beauty of Harsil. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel at Uttarkashi. Gangnani- famous for its thermal water springs is an explorer’s delight. So pure is the air and the surroundings, that one leaves this place totally charged and rejuvenated. Gangotri, the origin of the River Ganges and seat of the goddess Ganga, is one of the four sites in the Chota Char Dham pilgrimage circuit. The original Gangotri Temple was built by the Nepalese general Amar Singh Thapa. The river is called Bhagirathi at the source and acquires the name Ganga (the Ganges) from Devprayag onwards where it meets the Alaknanda. The origin of the holy river is at Gaumukh, set in the Gangotri Glacier, and is a 19 km trek from Gangotri.

Day 6

UTTARKASHI-GUPTKASHI (200 km 7 hours Approx drive)

After early breakfast pack up your luggage proceed to guptkashi. Transfer to hotel, check in freshen up. Evening time visit Vishwanath Temple for Pooja & Darshan. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel at Guptkashi. The Vishwanath Temple has very high significant mythology, in the history of Hindu religion. This is the place where Lord Shiva proposed Lady Parvati for marriage. The Vishwanath Temple is one o f the architectural marvels of the region. The main sanctum of the Vishwanath Temple houses the androgynous form of Lord Shiva, the Ardhanarishwara, and his consort Lady Parvati. The idols if Kaal Bhairava and Nandi is also present in the temple.

Day 7

GUPTKASHI–KEDARNATH

After breakfast proceed for helipad to board Helicopter for kadernath. Transfer to hotel, check in freshen up. Visit Kedarnath temple for Pooja & Darshan. Dinner & overnight at kedarnath. Kedarnath Temple is a Hindu temple roughly 1200 years old dedicated to Shiva. The temple is located on the Garhwal Himalayan range, near the Mandakini river, in the state of Uttarakhand, India. Due to extreme weather conditions, the temple is open to the general public only between the months of April (Akshaya Tritiya) and November (Kartik Purnima, the autumn full moon). During the winters, the vigraha (deity) of the temple is carried down to Ukhimath to be worshipped for the next six months. Kedarnath is seen as a homogenous form of Shiva, the 'Lord of Kedarkhand', the historical name of the region.

Day 8

RETURN BACK & TRANSFER TO UKHIMATH (1 hour drive)

After breakfast return back to guptkashi. freshen up, board coach and proceed for Ukhimath, check in.Relax. evening time to visit kalimath (1 hour drive) and Ukhimath tample for pooja. Dinner and overnight stay in hotel at Ukhimath. Ukhimath (also spelled Okhimath) During the winter, the Utsava Idols from the Kedarnath Temple, and Madhyamaheshwar Temple are brought to Ukhimath and worshipped here for six months. According to Hindu Mythology, the wedding of Usha (Daughter of Banasura) and Aniruddha (Grandson of Lord Krishna) was solemnized here.

Day 9

UKHIMATH - BADRINATH (160 kms 6 hour approx drive)

After early breakfast pack up your luggage proceed to Badrinath. En route visit Chopta is known as Mini Switzland of Uttarakhand is famous for its mountain views. Arrive Badrinath, transfer to hotel check in freshen up. Evening visit Badrinath ji for Pooja and Darshan. Dinner overnight stay at Badrinath.

Badrinath temple is the main attraction in the town. He originally enshrined it in a cave near the Tapt Kund hot springs. In the sixteenth century, the King of Garhwal moved the murti to the present temple. The temple has undergone several major renovations because of age and damage by avalanche. After significant damage in the great 1803 Himalayan earthquake, it was rebuilt by the King of Jaipur. The temple is approximately 50 ft (15 m) tall with a small cupola on top, covered with a gold gilt roof. The architecture resembles a Buddhist vihara with the brightly painted facade also more typical of Buddhist temples.

Day 10

BADRINATH MANA VILLAGE & DRIVE TO RUDRAPRAYAG (150km 5 hors drive)

Early morning be a part of morning pooja. After breakfast pack up your luggage. time to visit Vasundra fall, Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, Bhim Bridge. Enjoy hot cup of tea at the last tea stall of India. There after start return journey. Stop over at Rudraprayag. Dinner & overnight stay.

Day 11

RUDRAPRAYAG TO HARIDWAR (160 km 5 hours approx)

After breakfast pack up your luggage proceed to Haridwar. En route stop over at Dhari davi Tample for darshan. Journey continue. Arrive haridwar, transfer to hotel, check in freshen up. Relax, in the evening, visit Mansa davi or Chandi davi tample by ropeway ride. Attend the Ganga Aarti at Her ki Pauri. Dinner & overnight stay Haridwar.

Day 12

HARIDWAR RAILWAY STATION

After breakfast pack up your luggage. Transfer to Railway Station.
